CFC'S Policy on cancelling Service due to the weather

Dear CFCers,

Since there is snow forecasted for tonight through Sunday, it is again time to review the policy on cancelling our church service due to the weather.

·         We ALWAYS CLOSE if Franklin County declares a Level 2 or 3 Snow emergency.  Tuning into any local media outlet will give you the Snow Emergency level but here is the official link

·         We normally DO CONDUCT our service if there is a Level 1 emergency but only attend if you feel confident in arriving safely. There are exceptions such as our parking lot is dangerously slippery & our contracted snow removal company is unable to plow & treat in time.

·         If we ARE CLOSING then we will contact local media outlets & use all our electronic forms of communication to alert you (email, CFC webpage & Facebook page).  If you know of someone who is not online & we are cancelling the service then please call them so they don’t show up needlessly.

If we ever have to cancel, I hope all of us can look out from our cozy homes at the blanket of snow and worshipfully reflect on this great verse from Isaiah:

“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are as scarlet,
They will be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They will be like wool.”  Isa. 1:18 (NAS)

God bless,

Pastor Mike Gauch
