In this day and age, when every man is a “Lone Wolf,” it is very refreshing to find a group of men who love the Lord, love to laugh (both at and with each other), and are comfortable discussing scripture, while at the same time accepting and being respectful of one another’s convictions.  We do not move too quickly through scripture, and often get side tracked on ancillary details, which only proves to make the study more personal and entertaining.

Going to the men’s Monday night Bible study is a time I truly look forward to each week.  Being with a group of men of like mind and faith is refreshing.  I am strengthened each week through the study as I see the light of Christ in a very dark world.  I am blessed to be a part of it.

I would characterize the overall effect on me personally as one of refocusing my energy and thoughts.  Men today need to be spiritually centered, but this is quite difficult in our media-centered, work-performance-based lives. Monday night is a realignment period.  A chance to decompress from the pressures of the work day, and discuss issues that are truly important.  When it comes right down to it, the only real pressure we have is to please the Lord.  All else will fall in line.  As our Lord said in 3 John 1:4, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”
